No goals were scored in either of Sunday’s Colombian Copa Mustang
games. La Equidad drew 0-0 with Boyacá Chicó and Envigado held
Deportivo Cali to the same result.
The match between La Equidad and Chicó, played at Bogotá’s Techo stadium, was a rather dull event with very few scoring opportunities. Both sides could really use a win in this game but neither team managed to break through the opposing defense.
As a result, Deportes Tolima remain in first place in this group, ahead of Once Caldas, La Equidad and last-placed Chicó.
The most important event of the match between Envigado and Cali was a red card to Marlon Piedrahita in the 83rd minute, leaving the home side to survive the final phase with a player less.
Cúcuta and Envigado now share the lead in this group, although Cúcuta have a better goal record. Junior and Cali share third place.
