After Colombia’s Senate and Electoral Council, the country’s Prosecutor
General now also wants to question David Murcia about his alleged
contributions to the referendum that was held to have President Álvaro
Uribe re-elected.
The organizers of the referendum may be tried for fraud if the prosecution finds enough evidence to start a trial. The hearing of Murcia is part of this procedure.
The jailed DMG director said earlier this week he had spent 2 million dollar on logistics for the referendum.
