Healthy food, environmental innovation and good music are the three tenants of the “small scale revolution” set to arrive with Primavera Fest, Medellin’s environmental sustainability festival.

Perfectly cast in the natural oasis that is the Orquideorama, situated in Medellin’s Botanical Gardens, Primavera Fest seeks to promote new and original ways to be more environmentally friendly. It’s also the first Colombian festival that will attempt to be completely self sustainable.

The two day festival, which runs from April 30 to May 1, promises to feature the revolutionary ‘juicecycle’, a fresh new way to make your own juice, along with many other alternative, independent and innovative designs and ideas about small actions which can make a big environmental difference.

There will also be restaurants serving healthy and delicious dishes, play areas and workshops for kids, as well as a wide variety of musical performances from: Orquesta La 33, Puerto Candelaria Sinfónico, Parlantes, La República,The Big Bones y Mr.Bleat.

The festival will run from 7.00pm to 1.00am on April 30, and from 11am to 8pm on May 1.

Tickets cost $25 for a two day pass or $15 per day and can be bought on site, at any of the participating restaurants or you can call (Colombia) 4160860 to have your ticket delivered!

Check the event’s website for full details.
