Colombia will face the mighty Brazil in a friendly match in New Jersey on November 14.
The countries’ 24th match was announced by the Brazilian soccer federation on Wednesday.
Currently the tally stands at 14 victories to Brazil, seven ties and Colombia coming out on top twice, however both teams are looking to be on good form, each having won four of their last five friendlies.
With Colombia looking to capitalize on their success in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, currently sitting second from the top ahead of the clash with Paraguay on Friday, they should benefit from keeping active and positive after their strong performance in their previous matches.
The Miami Herald reported that the Brazilian manager is under pressure after the country’s ever-so-high expectations were not met in two of their recent matches scraping a 1-0 victory over South Africa and a late 2-1 victory over Argentina, something that may work in Colombia’s favor.
Although the “Cafeteros” are looking good, they have scored only 10 goals against the five-time world cup winners in 23 matches, where as Brazil has scored a total of 52.
