“Timochenko,” the supreme leader of Colombia’s largest rebel group FARC has entered the world of Twitter.
Under the account of @timochenko_farc and using his real name Timoleon Jimenez, the FARC leader took his first steps on the social media website with one tweet in which he announces a FARC proposal “of peace with social justice” while accusing President Juan Manuel Santos of wanting “infinite war.”
Colombia entera decidirá entre la paz con justicia social que planteamos y la guerra infinita decretada ayer por Santos. Venceremos.

The website of the FARC confirmed the veracity of the account that hasn’t been used since its September 5 tweet.
