Two policemen of Medellin’s counter-narcotics unit have been assassinated, the city’s Police Department announced Thursday.
According to a press release. the two men were shot and killed in the morning by men on motorbikes in the vicinity of Parque Explora, a tourist attraction for children, while waiting to meet with a source..
The Police department offered “wives and children of these heroes of the nation our most sincere condolences and the promise to accompany them at all time as a sign of recognition of the tireless and loyal labor” of the two assassinated police officers “who gave their life for their country.”
Members of the National police have begun an investigation into the assassination.
