The FARC will disclose the location of six hostages to the humanitarian
mission in charge of securing their pick up only after the rebels know who the members of the mission are, communist journalist Carlos Lozano said
Saturday.
Lozano, director of communist weekly Voz, told Caracol Radio that the whole process is going well, but it will probably take another two or three weeks to see the hostages released.
According to the journalist, the first thing to do is to establish who will be part of the humanitarian mission that will pick up the hostages, so that the FARC can give the coordinates of the location where the two politicians and four members of the security forces can be picked up.
Lozano added that the rebels’ condition to have at least one foreign observer present in the mission shouldn’t be made a problem, even though the Colombian Government has always opposed any foreign intervention.
