A 16-year-old boy will likely face criminal charges for allegedly molesting a child during a flight to Bogota, reported local media Wednesday.
The teenager is accused of touching the genitals of an 8-year-old who was in the seat beside him during an Avianca flight from Madrid with a stopover in Cali.
The victims’ shocked father immediately notified the cabin crew, who then contacted police. The young assailant was arrested and referred to a Cali police unit specifically equipped to handle juveniles.
Avianca has refused to comment and the nationalities of those involved in the crime remain unknown.
