Colombian pop diva Shakira is expecting a baby with her boyfriend, Spanish soccer star Gerard Pique, according to a Mexican gossip magazine that claimed the songstress is two months pregnant Tuesday.
According to TVNotas, the 35-year-old singer and her 25-year old beau have been trying to keep the pregnancy a secret and didn’t want to break the news until the unborn is three months. If the rumors of Pique managing to slip one passed the goalie turn out to be true, it would be a rare feat for the Barcelona F.C. defender who scored only two goals for the Catalonian club all season.
The couple’s recent purchase of a home in Barcelona is one of the preparations made by the couple for their offspring, the magazine claims.
The celebrity couple, who have been dating a little over a year, shrugged off recent rumors of their breakup, with Shakira telling Mexican TV network Univision that their “relationship is better than ever.”
