Five people were injured by an explosive device attached to a motorcyle in continuing attacks by alleged FARC guerrillas in southwestern Colombia.
The explosion marked 36 hours of continual attacks, allegedly carried out by the FARC’s 60th Front in the town of Argelia in the Cauca department, resulting in the injury of two civilians and 3 soldiers and damaging 20 houses.
Argelia is considered a strategic location for drug traffickers in the region, and has been the site of several reported FARC attacks this year.
