Huila’s home loss guaranteed Tolima top spot, while Santa Fe continued their good form to claim second position. Boyaca Chico thrashed Cacuta Deportivo, leaving them three points adrift at the bottom of the table, while 2011 champions Junior climbed back in to the top eight.

The weekend opened with the first of five 1-1 draws, as lowly Deportes Quindio claimed a vital point away to in-form Deportivo Cali. Alvaro Dominguez’s 72nd minute strike cancelled out Hilton Murillo’s 12th minute goal for Quindio, extending Cali’s unbeaten run to six games.

On Saturday, Itagui Ditaires and Independiente Medellin played out another 1-1 draw, while Boyaca Chico scored four in the last 30 minutes to hammer Cacuta Deportivo 5-2.

Junior registered a comfortable 3-1 victory away to Huila to return to the play-off places, while the league’s top scorer Humberto Osorio netted his eighth of the Apertura campaign to rescue a last-minute point for Millionarios at home to league leaders Tolima.

On Sunday, Santa Fe won 1-0 away to Bogota city rivals La Equidad, thanks to Omar Perez’s 76th minute strike, taking Santa Fe’s run to ten games unbeaten in the league and sending them in to second place. Once Caldas conceded a penalty in the 79th minute to draw 1-1 at home to Envigado, leaving them hovering third from bottom. Real Cartagena and Deporivo Pasto rounded off the 1-1 results.

On Sunday evening Atletico Nacional ended a run of seven league games without a win after defeating Patriotas 1-0 at home. Dorlan Pabon’s seventh goal of the season secured the points in the 40th minute, extending Nacional’s recent upturn to three straight wins in all competitions..
