The last of Colombia’s international soccer contingent were due to arrive in Miami Monday, ahead of Jose Pekerman’s first game in charge.
Los Cafeteros will face Mexico Wednesday, in Miami’s Sun Life Stadium, and those players involved in competitive club fixtures Sunday were due to meet the rest of the squad to begin preparations.
Among the late-comers were $58 million striker Radamel Falcao and other Europe-based stars such as Christian Zapata and James Rodriguez.
The squad were due to stage a training session at Miami’s Nova University on Monday afternoon, in which Pekerman will have his full squad together for the first time.
Argentine Pekerman was appointed coach of the Colombian national team last month after a tumultuous few months in which former coach Dario Gomez resigned after hitting a woman in a Bogota bar brawl in August and his successor Leonel Alvarez was sacked after just three matches in charge.
