A senior adviser to U.S. President Barack Obama met with Colombia’s business elite Wednesday to discuss the FTA, reported Caracol Radio
Dan Restrepo, the White House’s senior adviser on latin America, and U.S. ambassador to Colombia Michael McKinley, held a meeting behind closed doors with business leaders whose companies have an interest in the newly implemented FTA such as RCN boss, and palm oil and soft-drink tycoon Carlos Ardila Lulle, “Grupo Santo Domingo” head Alejandro Santo Domingo Davila, and Bancolombia president Jorge Londoño.
Also present was the director of the National Business Association of Colombia (ANDI), Luis Carlos Villegas whose organization hosted the meeting.
According to Caracol, the exact content of the meeting was not made public.
