The award-winning Colombian film “Todos Tus Muertos” (All Your Dead Ones) will screen at the 15th annual Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF).
“Todos Tus Muertos,” a film directed by the Cali-born director Carlos Moreno, will screen at the LALIFF in Hollywood, California on Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, July 24.
The movie begins with a Colombian farmer awakening on election day to discover a pile of dead bodies on his land. With the help of the police chief, he quickly learns not to report the murders.
According to the Colombian entertainment website Vive.in, the plot “revolves around the social and political situation of the country, using sarcasm and human in a different way.”
“Todos Tus Muertos” won the World Cinematography Award for best drama at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. It made its nationwide premier in Colombia on July 15.
The LALIFF is a nine-day festival held in Hollywood that aims to celebrate the achievements of Latino filmmakers.
This year’s LALIFF opened on July 17 and will screen films, documentaries, shorts and special screenings in Hollywood until the awards night on July 25.
Colombian cinema will also be represented by “Los Colores de la Montaña,” (The Colors of the Mountain).
