Representatives of the tens of thousands of indigenous protesters say
they will march from the south western department of Cauca to Bogotá
after disappointing talks with Colombian President Álvaro Uribe.
Indigenous leader Feliciano Valencia told Caracol Radio they are disappointed with the government proposal to have more talks, turned it down and decided to mobilize and march towards the capital instead, trying to force the government to take their demands seriously.
The native Colombians will meet Tuesday to define the agenda.
Indigenous have been protesting against the government for weeks already, demanding the return of stolen land, better health care and education, protection from paramilitary groups and the respect for their autonomy.
