The cousin of paramilitary leader “Martin Llanos” accused of drug trafficking and terrorism was deported to Colombia Wednesday.
According to the Bolivian Minister of the Interior Sacha Llorenti, the Bolivian authorities put Colombian Carlos Noel Buitrago Vega, alias “Porremacho,” on a flight to Colombia Wednesday morning.
Llorenti told the media that the police will continue to “disrupt the entire network of drug trafficking” installed by Porremacho in Bolivia.
Porremacho, the cousin of the fugitive leader of the paramilitary umbrella organization AUC, Hector German Buitrago Parada, alias “Martin Llanos,” was captured in the Bolivian department of Santa Cruz Tuesday by the Bolivian police.
The Colombian police, army and the Department of Administrative Security (DAS) have been searching for Porremacho for over ten years for crimes of drug trafficking, terrorism, massacres and disappearances. The Colombian authorities began to cooperate with the Bolivian police two years ago, when Porremacho is suspected to have entered Bolivia with false documentation, reported El Espectador.
The detainee’s “stated mission” was to link Bolivia to other drug traffickers and criminals in South America.
Porremacho allegedly smuggled approximately 400 kilos of drugs to Brazil.
