Colombian actress Sofia Vergara is to have her own star on Hollywood’s prestigious Walk of Fame.
The popular actress will have her star of recognition situated alongside her onscreen husband Ed O’Neill, with whom she shot to fame in ABC series “Modern Family.”
The Hollywood Walk of Fame comprises more than 2,500 five-pointed terrazzo and brass stars embedded in the sidewalks along 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and three blocks of Vine Street in Hollywood, California.
Vergara’s acknowledgement was announced on Wednesday in a statement given by Hollywood’s Chamber of Commerce, the body responsible for allocating the honor.
“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to add a little flavor to the Walk of Fame, immortalizing the fame of Sofia Vergara,” organizer of the ceremonies Ana Martinez said.
“Vergara gives more diversity to our institution, the Walk of Fame,” Martinez added.
The Colombian beauty will formally receive her star in a ceremony on May 7, said the Chamber of Commerce.
