Colombian Vallenato legend Diomedes “Cacique” Diaz and his band will finish a highly successful tour of Europe in three days, MiRiohacha reported Thursday.
The tour, which ends on February 27, has been an important achievement for Diaz, during which “Diomedes has managed to fill to bursting all of the places in which he has been present … and has received wonderful treatment and commentary from the European press” the article reported.
Locations visited over the course of the tour include Madrid, Girona, Barcelona, San Sebastian, Castrillon, and Bilbao, among others.
Following the success of the tour, Diaz and the rest of his group have landed a more extensive contract for this coming June, during the course of which the band will play in the capitals of Italy, Spain, Germany, Belgium, France, and Holland.
