Police in the central Colombian Tolima department arrested a colleague who was caught with 227 pounds of coca base in his car.
The 37-year-old police major from the southern Caqueta department was arrested at a road block in the municipality of Venadillo.
According to Caracol Radio, police sources said the unprocessed cocaine was packaged in small quantities ready to be sold.
