13th French Film Festival set to open in Bogota

Colombia’s French Film Festival is an exposition of the best of French cinema and will open in the capital Bogota on September 25. 

The festival has been held every year since 2001 and includes screenings, conferences and workshops.

There are more than 60 films for film buffs to enjoy with the festival visiting 20 cities across the country. Seven films feature that are directed by such talented writers as François Ozon, Catherine Breillat or Cedric Klapisch. The films are a wide range of genres, ways of thinking and cinematography.

For the first time there is a cycle of restored classics and digitized to allow visitors to appreciate the works of Truffaut, Ophuls and Renoir in a manner they have never been able to be viewed before.

  • Bogota: 25 September – 8 October
  • Medellin: 2 – 5 October
  • Cali: 9 – 15 October
  • Bucaramanga: 9 – 15 October
  • Barranquilla: 8 – 15 October
  • Cartagena: 16 – 22 Ocotber
