One of the biggest summits of the most talented IT professionals in Latin America, Colombia 3.0, concluded on Thursday, national media reported.
Both national and international participants traveled to Bogota to be a part of the Colombia 3.0 summit, according to Colombia’s El Colombiano newspaper.
More than 130 national and international experts from 14 different digital domains attended the business conferences, discussions, and exhibitions regarding the latest trends in the digital universe.
“This is the place to share experiences, connect, network, develop new ideas, boost business, and accelerate high-impact initiatives. An event of its size shows the importance of bringing together people beyond the local level, determining and influencing decisions for the future of digital content in Latin America,” said Colombia’s Minister of Technology Diego Molano Vega on the government website.

Colombia 3.0, which took place between July 29-31, was an opportunity for the Colombian digital industry to expand beyond its borders. The summit would provide new business deals from ideas that came about from the international sharing of knowledge.
International buyers from Brazil, Spain, Mexico, United States, Chile, and Argentina had been following the events of Colombia 3.0 in search of new products to invest in.
The Latin American countries share hungry markets, where there is demand for the development of software, according to Colombia’s El Espectador newspaper.
Colombian talent
The summit served as a digital shopping center for international companies, who are considering doing business with Colombian corporations.
Additionally, the organizers believed that the “festival” would help promote the Colombian software industry and young Colombian talent.
Colombia 3.0 emphasized Colombia as a provider of competitive, high quality services, and as a destination for the start of investment projects, according to El Espectador.
The summit was arranged in cooperation with the Ministry of Technology, Information and Communication. The showcase ‘’festival’’ of technology focused on subjects like apps, games, books, music, mobile development, web development, government, and business.
