Colombia’s Grammy Award-winning artist Juanes returned to the spotlight Tuesday with his much-anticipated new album “Loco De Amor” (Crazy with Love).  The album is produced by the acclaimed Steve Lillywhite who has previously collaborated with top artists such as the Rolling Stones, U2 and the Killers.

It also features the infamous Abe Laboriel on drums and guitarist Brian Ray who have both worked with prominent artist, including Paul McCartney.

Bringing Latin flavor to the album is percussionist Venezuelan-born Richard Bravo and Colombian guitarist Fernando Tobon.

The album features 11 tracks and was recorded in one take using no electric but only acoustic guitars.

Juanes released the single “La Luz” (The Light) from the album earlier this year. The single, a fusion of Colombia cumbia rock and electronics has already been No. 1 in 15 different countries, including Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Ecuador.

The Medellin-born artist first rose to fame after the debut of his first solo album “Fijate Bien,” which won him the title as artist of the year at the Latin Grammy Awards.

In 2010, Billboard magazine named Juanes “star of the decade.” He has won more than 17 Latin Grammy Awards and sold more than 15 million albums worldwide.
