Five adults and two children have been killed Saturday morning just outside of San Vicente del Caguan, a town in the south of Colombia, official sources confimed.
According to the army reports, six of the victims were all members of the same family. One of the victims was an employee of the family.
General Fabricio Cabrera, commander of the 12th brigade, told newspaper El Tiempo that the massacre was an act of retaliation between drug traffickers. According to RCN Radio, authorities said the FARC may be responsible.
Police and judicial authorities were sent to the scene of the crime to investigate the murder scene. The municipality announced it would hold a security council in the afternoon.
