A group of former AUC members from the Catatumbo bloc began their hearing before the courts, the prosecutor general’s website reported Wednesday.
Prosecutors for the National Unity for Justice and Peace began proceedings in Barranquilla against 34 former members of the United Self Defense Forces of Colombia (AUC).
Among the demobilized members being tried is the former second in command of the AUC Salvatore Moncuso Gomez, alias “El Mono Mancuso.”
