‘FARC ambush’ leaves 3 police dead

Three policemen were killed and three more were wounded on Monday morning in an alleged FARC attack in Colombia’s southwest department of Cauca, El Tiempo reports.

Armed FARC guerrillas allegedly ambushed the policemen in the rural area on the outskirts of the town of Morales.

Recently the Cauca department has seen a surge in violence primarily attributed to FARC guerrillas.
